Candidates should have an interest in writing, editorial work, desktop publishing, and design. Candidates need to be able to produce the newsletter (with input from board members) each July, October, January and April. The time commitment is approximately 8-10 hours, every 3 months. There is a lot of flexibility in determining the content and length of each issue and the publication date within each of the four distribution months. Candidates are encouraged to attend monthly meetings of the board to discuss status updates and monthly luncheon events held for members at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel.
